Cancellation Policy

This policy outlines how Rio Davies DJ services operate to ensure clarity and a smooth experience from booking to event completion. 1. Booking & Payments Enquiries can be made via Messenger or WhatsApp as well as the Website. Once booking details are confirmed, an invoice will be issued via my website and sent to your email. A 20% deposit is required to secure the event date. Deposits are non-refundable in the event of cancellation by the client. The remaining balance is due on the day of the event, payable either:through the invoice link, or in cash prior to the DJ’s performance start time. 2. Setup & Pack Down A minimum of 1 hour is required for setup before the agreed music start time. Pack down will take place either at the end of the event or the following day, depending on venue access and agreement with the client. 3. Music & Requests Clients are welcome to provide a playlist in advance for guidance on preferred music. On-the-night requests from guests are accepted, provided they are appropriate for the event and the venue. 4. Equipment, Power & Environmental Requirements For outdoor events, adequate shelter or cover must be provided to protect equipment in case of rain or adverse weather. A minimum of two power sockets must be available within close proximity to the DJ booth setup area. Backup equipment is carried to ensure continuity of service where possible. The client is responsible for any damage to equipment caused by guests, attendees, or venue staff. 5. Travel Travel arrangements and any associated fees are determined on a case-by-case basis, dependent on location and event requirements. 6. Event Timing & Overtime Standard finish time for the basic package is 12:00am. Overtime may be available depending on venue rules and DJ availability, and may be charged at an agreed additional rate. Overtime decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. 7. Safety & Conduct Drinks must not be placed on or near DJ equipment, including the booth and speakers. 8. Media & Promotional Use The DJ may take photos or short video clips of the setup and general atmosphere for promotional purposes. Clients may request to opt out of this at any time prior to the event.
